Description

Site Description: The planned measure involves the demolition of the existing Lounge premises to the bare structure. This will be followed by the conversion into a security control point with new CT scanners. This measure aims to further increase the capacity of security checks and to adapt to the current security standard. In addition to the actual inspection lanes, the existing ancillary rooms (i.e. office, rest, smoking) will also be renovated and adapted. The construction site covers a gross floor area of approximately 1,120 sqm. Due to the increased heat load from the newly introduced security technology and the high passenger traffic during the operation of the security control point, additional air conditioning systems are planned. Additional air conditioning systems will also be used in the office and rest areas for staff. The air conditioning is to be implemented by means of VRF systems with the refrigerant R32. Based on a risk assessment regarding the refrigerant R32 and the room contents of the ancillary rooms, plant-integrated safety valves and leakage sensors are planned at relevant points. Room control units for immediate adjustment of the set temperature are also planned for each area. However, these must be configured so that the temperature setting is only possible within a certain range. The internal system control is part of the refrigeration technology.
