Germany – Damage or loss insurance services – Exzedent zur Rahmenvereinbarung Versicherung von Schienenfahrzeugen aus öffentlichen Verkehrsverträgen im Schienenpersonennahverkehr (SPNV)

The contracting authority is DB Regio AG, the subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG responsible for local rail transport. DB Regio AG and its subsidiary/affiliated companies regularly bid on public tenders for rail passenger transport contracts (SPNV). To cover the risks that exceed the capacity of the rail vehicle insurance for local rail transport (RVA SPNV basic coverage - https://www.subreport.de/E48424898), a framework agreement for a rail vehicle excess insurance, also based on an All Risk insurance, is being tendered. In case of need, DB Regio AG and its subsidiary/affiliated companies can conclude an additional insurance within the scope of this cover. The limit of the indemnity performance is 50 million EUR per insurance case after 50 million EUR following the RVA SPNV basic coverage.
