Belgium – Parking lot construction work – Construction d'un parking sécurisé pour camion

The subject of the public works contract is the construction of a secure parking area for trucks at the south-western end of the runway, along Rue de l'Aéroport (N630C). The contract is subdivided into one firm lot and two conditional lots.

Firm Lot

The firm lot will include works related to the entrance area (Access Road Zone), the truck parking area and the trailer parking area.

Conditional Lot No. 1

The project provides for a first conditional lot which consists of the widening of the trailer parking area by occupying part of the adjacent cadastral plot to the north-east of the project. The said plot concerned is categorized in the "fishing" zone within the State of Soils Database (BDES) at the level of soil pollution, a requalification procedure with the DAS is underway, and a derogation request is submitted. The works are put in conditional lot. This conditional lot provides for few new developments, but larger quantities of asphalt, concrete and linear elements than the firm lot. This development also involves the movement of the airport fence. This lot provides for the addition of approximately 20 trailer parking spaces.

Conditional Lot No. 2

The project provides for a second conditional lot which consists of the addition of charging stations in the truck parking area. Ten slow-charging stations are planned in the truck parking area. This lot also includes the cables to be provided for the installation of these stations. The relevant cabinets are included in the firm lot and also cover the needs of the stations. Its implementation will depend on the capacity of the electrical network to power these stations.
