Germany – Construction work – Revitalisierung der historischen Kulturstätte "Kasino", Stadt Melsungen

The construction project is located in the city centre of Melsungen, at the street corner of Rotenburger Str. 10 / Obere Mauergasse. The "Alte Kasino", a building with 2 storeys plus an attic, was constructed in 1838 and underwent structural changes in the 1970s. The historic building from the mid-19th century, now a listed monument, was extended at the time with a structurally non-viable annex, including a foyer, stage technology, and hall. An additional storage room for chairs was added in 2000. The ground floor level of the existing building is approximately 1.30 m above street level. The entire building has a basement. The annex from the 1970s will be demolished and replaced with a new basement annex with a foyer and restaurant. The basement will be a waterproofed reinforced concrete structure, and the main load-bearing structure of the annex will be a steel structure with a bracing timber system roof. The existing building is a listed monument, with the structure consisting partly of timber-framed constructions from the mid-19th century and partly of masonry walls from the 1970s. The aim is to restore the outer edges of the listed building with a perlite render system in accordance with the preservation of monuments. The present specification covers the plastering work on the listed existing building: - Dismantling the existing wall structure on various substrates (timber framing with masonry infill, masonry walls, etc.), approx. 600 m² - Constructing the new wall structure from a perlite render system incl. substrate treatment, fabric, partial paint, etc. as wall cladding, exterior approx. 600 m², interior approx. 420 m² - All internal plastering work on various substrates, approx. 2,100 m².
