As part of the development of the metro's business areas, Metroselskabet aims to enhance passenger service and the overall customer experience of traveling by metro. As a step in this direction, Metroselskabet wishes to establish and operate smaller unmanned shops at metro stations in the form of vending machines. The shops will offer a selection of convenience products, including items for passengers on the metro, which can be brought along quickly and easily while on the go. Based on this, Metroselskabet is offering a (conditional) concession agreement for the financing, installation and operation of vending machines at metro stations, including: Kgs. Nytorv, København H, Frederiksberg, Rådhuspladsen, Nørrebro, Østerport, Enghave Plads, Trianglen, Skjolds Plads and Nørrebro Runddel (Phase 1) and further locations; Kgs. Nytorv, Nørreport, Frederiksberg, Christianshavn, Rådhuspladsen, Amagerbro, Gammel Strand, Forum, Poul Henningsens Plads, Islands Brygge, Fasanvej and Frederiksberg allé (Phase 2). Reference is made to the stations and potentials described in the tender material (Annex 7) for an overview. The agreement runs for 6 years, but is conditional in that a successful completion of Phase 1 is a requirement for initiating the execution of Phase 2. Phase 1 runs for 2 years, while Phase 2 (which includes both a continuation of the stations from Phase 1 and the initiation of the stations covered by Phase 2) runs for 4 years. The total duration of the concession agreement is 6 years. At the end of Phase 2, there will be an option to extend by 2 x 12 months. If the performance criteria (Annex 5) set by Metroselskabet for Phase 1 ("trial period") cannot be met, the agreement will expire at the end of Phase 1 by 31.12.2028 and Phase 2 will be cancelled. Metroselskabet's contractual terms are set out in the draft agreement terms, while the requirements for the services are detailed in the Specification of Requirements. The task is offered as a single combined concession contract based on functional, market and economic considerations, cf. more about this in the tender conditions. Based on this, Metroselskabet is offering a concession agreement for the installation and operation of vending machines at metro stations. The estimated value of the agreement, excluding VAT, is: DKK195,000,000. The value is conditional on the successful completion of Phase 1 (2 years) and the completion of Phase 2 (4 years) as well as the utilisation of the option to extend Phase 2 by 2 x 12 months of the full Phase 2 capacity.
