The existing fire station of the municipality of Waldsee is currently located in Ludwigstraße in the inner-city area and no longer meets many of the requirements for a modern fire station in many respects. Both the spatial capacities and the technical equipment are limited. The vehicle halls do not provide sufficient space for the current fleet, and the social, training and storage areas are cramped. In addition, the traffic access at the current location no longer meets the safety requirements for a rapid and safe deployment of the emergency services. Furthermore, the emergency services of the Rhein-Pfalz district also need new premises, which, if necessary, can be combined with the fire station in a new building to form a central rescue centre.
