Germany – Engineering services – Neubau der Mensa Südstadt Rostock - Leistungen der Tragwerksplanung LPH 1-6 gem. §§ 49 ff. HOAI

Studierendenwerk Rostock-WismarGermanyPublished on Sep 10, 2026
No deadline given

Description

The Mensa Süd is a state-owned property that was newly built in 1999 and is used by the Studierendenwerk Rostock-Wismar. The canteen has the task of supplying students at a socially acceptable price (and within the framework of free capacities also university employees at a reasonable price). The Mensa Süd is the largest canteen in Rostock with currently up to 2,200 portions per day. In addition, external branches are supplied with food. Therefore, an overall production capacity of up to 2,500 portions per day is aimed for. The Mensa Süd is the only supply facility for students at the Südstadt campus of the University of Rostock. It also supplies the university library in the adjacent building throughout the day. It is also to be operated continuously via an interim canteen during the construction period. Due to the age of the canteen and the currently problematic structural and technical condition, a feasibility study was prepared in 2023. This shows, in addition to the age-related structural and technical defects, considerable functional defects, so that a originally planned step-by-step renovation is no longer effective. The extensive feasibility study proves the need for a complete renovation or a new build as well as the necessity of a short-term provision of an interim solution. In the result, the feasibility study and a comprehensive variant examination confirm the variant, which provides for the setup of a container interim canteen on the opposite parking lot (B-Plan Pulverturm) with subsequent new construction of the canteen at the same location, as the most economical variant.
