Description

To improve the quality of living and to increase the attractiveness for students, the residential facilities shall be equipped with modern fibre-optic internet connections. In addition, a highly available and high-performance WLAN access for the residential units as well as parts of the shared areas shall be set up. With this procurement measure, a contractor (hereinafter referred to as the "contractor") is to be selected for the internet service of the client's residential facilities. The scope of services advertised includes the supply, installation and operational handover of a complete solution, consisting of WLAN components, active LAN switches, end devices (routers), and broadband internet access based on symmetrical fibre-optic connections. After successful commissioning, the contractor will operate the internet service for all residential facilities and ensure the availability and proper functionality of the services and infrastructure throughout the entire contract period. This also includes the maintenance of the passive network infrastructure. The service will be provided in stages from 1 January 2027. It is planned to commission the last residential facility in 2030. The term of the overall contract begins with the commissioning of the first site and ends automatically after 10 years. Since the roll-out also depends on renovation and modernisation work within the residential facilities, the implementation of the contract will be carried out successively. The planned commissioning dates for the individual residential facilities can be found in the location overview in the annex Price Matrix. For details of the subject of the contract, reference is made to the service description. A contract based on the model of the EVB-IT system contract will be concluded.
