The Wangerland Touristik GmbH (WTG) is a municipal enterprise of the municipality of Wangerland and owner of the entire property at Zum Hafen 3, 26434 Wangerland. This property is currently developed with a spa centre. Adjoining the spa centre is the Thalasso Sea Spa, which was constructed between 2024 and 2025. To the west, the property features green spaces and parks and borders the North Sea with the indoor and outdoor pool "Friesland Therme". The WTG intends to sell the part of the property developed with the spa centre, as well as, if necessary, part of the park and green spaces, to enable the construction of a new spa hotel (Lot 1). Furthermore, the development may include rental spaces for tourist information, offices of the WTG, event spaces, as well as secondary shops and (staff) accommodation. In addition, a contract for the operation of the Thalasso Sea Spa will be awarded (Lot 2). It is desired that synergies with the new construction of the spa centre are realised; therefore, the new construction with the hotel operation and the operation of the Thalasso Sea Spa from a single source are preferred.
