Prequalification – Modernisation of 233 substations in Stockholm A long-term partnership for the future power grid 1. Procurement – Overall Procurement Form: LUFContract Type: ABT 06 (managed contracting)Remuneration: Fixed price with unit prices for variable quantities in earthworks and construction worksOptions: Possibility of continuation in subsequent packages with similar scope (total of 233 stations planned, under 2028-2035)2. Background Stockholm's power grid is facing a comprehensive modernisation. Ellevio is driving a multi-year initiative to enhance operational reliability, create flexibility in the city's power distribution and secure capacity for future energy needs. This initiative includes upgrading 233 substations of type O77 and V77 within Ellevio's concession 48. The switchgear in these facilities is approaching the end of its technical and regulatory lifespan, and many stations have components and building parts from the 1980s. This is an opportunity to be a central player in one of Stockholm's most comprehensive modernisation projects for power infrastructure. 3. Project objectives and drivers The project aims to create a robust, future-proof and easy-to-operate power grid in central and outer parts of Stockholm. Through the modernisation of the stations, Ellevio aims to: Increase operational reliability through replacement of LSP and MSP switchgearEnable redundancy in cable connections and power supply pathsImprove fault detection and restoration times through installation of RTUsImprove the working environment through measures in existing buildingsPrepare for future transformer replacementsSecure power supply in a growing metropolisThis is a strategically important project, both for Ellevio and for the development of Stockholm's power grid. 4. Scope – Package 1 The first package includes the modernisation of 23 stations within City, Söderort and Västerort, with completion in 2027.
