Germany – Construction work – Bauleistungen im Bereich Niederspannung und Kabeltrassen für den Neubau Herzzentrum und Informatics for Life am Universitätsklinikum Heidelberg VE 443.01

At Heidelberg University Hospital, a university heart centre is being newly established within the hospital grounds at the Neuenheimer Feld, during the ongoing operations of Heidelberg University Hospital, on the site of the old children's hospital. The new heart centre will bring together the cardiology, angiology, cardiac surgery, paediatric cardiology, paediatric cardiac surgery, and cardio-anaesthesia departments of Heidelberg University Hospital. Interdisciplinary cooperation and innovations will generate synergies and added value in care and research. The scientific research unit Informatics for Life (IFL) will be directly integrated into the new construction of the heart centre and functionally closely linked to it. By focusing on scientific computing in cardiovascular molecular research, progress in personalised heart medicine in Germany will be achieved.
