Description

The Building Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, represented by the Department of Construction, is organising a tender on behalf of the Real Estate Office for the award of the general planning services (design, tendering and realisation) for the comprehensive renovation of Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall in Dachsen. Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall is one of the most important cultural and tourism sites in the Canton of Zurich and is now facing a comprehensive renovation. The historically grown complex, whose origins date back to the Middle Ages, will be restored in a monument-friendly manner and selectively further developed. The aim is to secure long-term access to this unique cultural asset and, at the same time, to create a high-quality offer in the areas of gastronomy, hotel business, as well as seminar and event use. In addition to the renovation of the existing building fabric, the project includes the expansion of the visitor centre and the development of a central building technology. Special challenges lie in building in the existing structure, in dealing with protected monument substance, and in operation within a highly frequented tourism destination. A general planner with high architectural, structural and organisational competence and proven experience in the development and implementation of complex construction projects is sought. The planning team consistently pursues the specified project goals and is able to develop, plan and realise a construction project efficiently, on schedule and within budget. It meets the project requirements to the best of its ability and ensures implementation at a high level of building culture. The application for participation must be made in accordance with the details in the tender documents. The selection of a maximum of five participating bidders will be made on the basis of the suitability criteria set out in the tender documents. The offer to be submitted by the selected general planning teams includes the solution to three object-related tasks as well as an offer on the applicable fee parameters. The submission of an application for pre-qualification (1st phase) will not be compensated. All complete and timely offers submitted to the Department of Construction (2nd phase) will be compensated with a flat rate of CHF 8,000.00 (incl. VAT) per team.
