Germany – Building construction work – Stadt Bochum: Totalunternehmerleistungen / Totalübernehmerleistungen Neubau Gesamtschule Berliner Straße, Bochum-Wattenscheid

The City of Bochum is implementing an expansion of the Gesamtschule Mitte from four to six tracks as part of its school construction and modernisation programme, and relocating its site to Berliner Straße in Bochum-Wattenscheid. The subject of the procurement is total contractor/turnkey services for the planning and construction of a school complex for approximately 1,400 pupils, including a functionally related, spatially separated building for the Musikschule Bochum Wattenscheid. The scope of services includes, in addition to the school and music school buildings, all equipment and user-specific installations required for operation, outdoor facilities, and traffic and media access, including necessary measures outside the immediate construction site. In particular, modern learning and specialist rooms, a forum and canteen, administrative, common, technical and ancillary rooms, as well as outdoor facilities including drainage channels with a total area of approximately 1,500 m2 are to be realised. The planning must take into account the spatial separation of the areas of secondary levels I and II, year-specific learning clusters, barrier-free and clear room concepts, as well as the functional requirements of a comprehensive school and music school. The building is to be designed to be durable, sustainable, economical, and low-maintenance, and adaptable to future requirements of school operations. The scope of work includes, in particular, the former sports facility, an area currently used as a petrol station, the adjacent access road, and possibly areas of the adjacent car park; differences in ground level are to be taken into account in the planning. The current status of the draft development plan No. 1001 "Gesamtschule Berliner Straße" will be made available to the companies invited to submit a tender as a basis.
