Germany – Construction work – Erweiterung Gymnasium Alfter / Totalunternehmervertrag

The municipality of Alfter intends to construct a new extension building for the Gymnasium at the site of the existing school campus in Oedekoven (Am Rathaus 11, 53347 Alfter-Oedekoven). The subject of the project is the construction of an extension building, fundamentally in three-dimensional timber or timber-hybrid modular construction, with functional and structural integration of the already renovated existing building and the adjacent sports hall. The total educational floor area is approximately 7,400 m² and will be divided between the existing building and the new building. Deviating from the modular construction method, the ground floor (slope, concrete/ reinforced concrete) and the arena (timber construction, no modular construction) are to be executed in conventional construction. The school extension building is to be commissioned by the start of the 2029/2030 school year (by 05/2029 at the latest). Early commissioning by the start of the 2028/2029 school year (by 05/2028) is to be aimed for and will be particularly evaluated as an award criterion. The 2027/2028 and possibly 2028/2029 school years can take place in interim operation (container solution).
