Description

The OOWV operates the sewerage pumping station "Allerstraße" and a storage basin, which was newly constructed in 2022, on a former sewage treatment plant site in Allerstraße in Brake. During normal operation, the wastewater flowing in via gravity channels is directly forwarded to the Brake wastewater treatment plant by the "Allerstraße" pumping station. In the event of increased wastewater inflow, a portion of the wastewater can be diverted into the storage basin via storage pumps present in the pumping station. After the wastewater inflow from the sewer network has subsided, the stored wastewater is released into the pumping station by gravity and conveyed to the Brake wastewater treatment plant. The maximum storage capacity is approximately 2,500 m3. The pumping station has significant structural defects. As a replacement for the pumping station, a new pumping station is to be constructed directly on the site. In addition to discharging the wastewater generated to the Brake wastewater treatment plant, the new pumping station is to serve again to feed the new balancing basin "Allerstraße" in the event of increased wastewater inflow and to take up the wastewater temporarily stored in the balancing basin again after the wastewater inflow from the sewer network has subsided and to convey it to the Brake wastewater treatment plant. The SW pumping station is to be constructed as a reinforced concrete pumping station using in-situ concrete next to the balancing basin. The pumping station shaft is to be vertically divided into a forebay and a pump cellar, which is to accommodate the dry-installed pumps, pipelines and valves. The pump cellar is to have a flat roof superstructure that can accommodate the switchgear. The pump cellar is to have an intermediate ceiling from which the discharge-side valves can be operated and maintained. Access from the superstructure to the intermediate ceiling and further into the pump cellar is to be via reinforced concrete staircases.
