The Investment Bank of Schleswig-Holstein, the central promotional institution of the State of Schleswig-Holstein, advises, promotes and finances companies, private individuals and municipalities in Schleswig-Holstein. The contracting authority is a legal entity of public law and holds a banking licence from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). The State of Schleswig-Holstein is the sponsor and sole owner of the contracting authority. It employs around 900 active employees.

The aim is to introduce a system for the structured recording, linking, monitoring and evaluation of information such as NFR risks, controls, measures and regulatory requirements. This will increase the transparency and traceability of the corresponding 2-LoD processes and provide an overarching, consolidated view of risks, measures and their interdependencies within the organisation. The system is to support the specialist departments and central control functions in the implementation, monitoring and further development of governance, risk and compliance activities.
