Replacement new construction of the "Institute for Molecular Biology (ImBIG)" as a multifunctional laboratory building for the Friedrich Wilhelms Universität Bonn with S1 and S2 laboratories. Project description: As part of an approved variant change, the ImBIG is being planned as a replacement new construction (ENB) on a vacant plot on the Poppelsdorf campus. A competition was previously held for this purpose. As part of the planned measure, there will be an optimization of space from various properties and consolidation within the Biology department. In total, users from 5 buildings will be relocated to the new building. In the process, space will be consolidated and significant synergies will be achieved. The building is currently planned to be constructed using hybrid timber construction. Results from the competition are described below. The requirements for vibration behaviour, as desired by the university, must be taken into account and should be clarified as early as possible in the planning phase.
