The City of Kotka (procuring entity, purchaser) invites tenders for laundry services for its owned workwear, linen, mats, towels and other textiles, in accordance with the tender notice and its annexes. The procurement excludes the uniforms for parking inspection. Laundry services are procured according to the purchaser's needs for use in different areas of responsibility. The largest purchasers in terms of volume are early childhood education (linen and other textiles and mats for daycare centres) and technical services (work and safety wear). If necessary, laundry services are also ordered for the washing and maintenance of workwear and other textiles from other sectors, such as curtains and tablecloths. The cleaning of these textiles may require fine washing in part. The purchaser decides for itself to what extent it will use rental textiles and to what extent its own textiles and the laundry services included in this procurement during the contract period. The purchaser's units also carry out the washing of their own textiles in part themselves. The laundry service provider must offer a comprehensive service that includes the collection of laundry from the purchaser's various locations, washing, processing, stain removal, finishing, packing, protection and delivery back to the service purchaser within the agreed time. Laundry is collected from indoor premises and laundry is returned to the units' indoor premises according to separately agreed schedules. A more detailed service description is in the draft contract attached to the tender notice. In addition, the annex "Delivery Points Kotka" lists the current delivery points and their estimated laundry quantities and wash cycles. The agreement is made as a one (1) year fixed-term contract, after which it continues indefinitely with a six (6) month mutual notice period, unless the procuring entity terminates the fixed-term contract during the fixed-term contract period to end at the end of the fixed-term contract period. The start date of the contract period is no later than 1 December 2026. An earlier start date can be negotiated with the winner. The procuring entity does not commit to specific procurement quantities during the contract period.
