A future-proof equipment of the structural change region with digital infrastructures is a prerequisite for the success of the transition to an innovative economic region. A central component of a modern telecommunications structure is the new mobile communications standard 5G. The Federal Government and the State plan to provide the region with comprehensive 5G coverage in the long term. Saxony-Anhalt wants to set an additional "5G focus" in the structural change region: the aim is to improve public mobile communications coverage with the latest 5G standard and to equip commercial areas, industrial parks and large companies in the structural change region with 5G campus networks as required. Up to ten projects (in Burgenlandkreis, Mansfeld-Südharz, Saalekreis, Anhalt-Bitterfeld) are to be comprehensively supported in their implementation. Description of the procurement: Accompanying the establishment and operation of 5G campus networks and the improvement of public 5G mobile communications coverage 1. Network planning, 2. Accompanying European tendering procedures, 3. Project management for the establishment of 5G campus networks, 4. Accompanying operation, 5. Consulting end users regarding 5G applications, 6. Applying for local 5G frequencies and 7. Evaluating the projects together with the contracting authority and, if necessary, research institutions.
