The subject of the design competition is the preparation of an architectural design for the renovation of the administrative building of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, located at Župné námestie č. 13. The renovation is necessary due to the inadequate technical condition of the building and its demanding energy and economic operation, which hinder the full utilisation of its potential. The purpose of the design competition is to find a design that best meets the requirements of the contracting authority to create a dignified and modern seat for the NS SR and also the NSS SR, contributes to the more effective use of public resources and at the same time preserves the architectural legacy of the architect Vladimír Dedeček. The new assignment will build on his original concept - two clearly separated parts in one building, which use common spaces.
