Germany – Public transport services by railways – Vergabeverfahren ,Rhein-Erft-Bahn‘ (RB 27)

The subject of this procurement is rail passenger transport services (SPNV) in the area of responsibility of the SPNV contracting authorities on the basis of a gross traffic contract for the 'Rhein-Erft-Bahn' (RB 27) for a period starting from the international timetable change in December 2028, probably on 10.12.2028. The traffic contract has a basic term of 6 years, starting from 10.12.2028 to 09.12.2034. In addition, the SPNV contracting authorities have the right to unilaterally exercise two extension options for one year each until the international timetable change in December 2035, probably on 08.12.2035 or until the international timetable change in December 2036, probably on 13.12.2036. For the provision of the transport service, electric new and/or used vehicles are to be used. The 'Rhein-Erft-Bahn' (RB 27) has the following route: Mönchengladbach Hbf – Rommerskirchen – Köln Hbf – Troisdorf – Bonn-Beuel – Linz (Rhein) – Neuwied – Koblenz Hbf. The contract volume is approximately 2.5 million train-kilometres per standard year.
