Germany – Building construction work – Errichtung eines Atemschutzzentrums als Ergänzung der Feuerwehrtechnischen Zentrale Peine

The district of Peine plans to expand the existing Fire Service Technical Centre (FTZ) at Werner-Nordmeyer-Straße 21 with a new breathing apparatus centre. The project's aim is to ensure and further develop central services for the district's fire services, particularly in the area of breathing apparatus. The new centre will be used as an integral part of a district-wide breathing apparatus network by all fire services in the district. The measure includes the construction of a single-storey building extension with approximately 510 m² of usable space, as well as adaptation work to the external areas and the rainwater drainage system. The extension building will be functionally connected to the existing structure and constructed in the courtyard area. With the new building, the structural and technical prerequisites will be created to meet the increasing demands on breathing apparatus training, testing, and logistics and to ensure the operational readiness of the fire services on a sustained basis.
