The implementation of a semi-annual groundwater monitoring (Lots 1 and 2) including the performance of a variant comparison remediation investigation according to § 13 BBodSchG (Lot 1)

The objective of the commissioned overarching services is to:

- assess the current state of the groundwater,

- carry out extensions to the measurement network to densify the data basis,

- forecast the future development taking into account natural contaminant reduction processes (MNA),

- continue and expand the existing groundwater flow model and the existing contaminant transport model, and

- coordinate the future soil protection approach in agreement with all parties involved.

In addition, for the site of the former Chemiehandel Erfurt (Lot 1):

- the dismantling of the above-ground groundwater treatment plant still located on the site is to be planned in a construction-ready manner and the dismantling itself is to be monitored, and

- in continuation of the optimization investigations and with the evaluation of the results of the supplementary investigations from 2017, further investigations of the type and scope of soil protection measures in the sense of a remediation investigation according to § 13 BBodSchG and § 6 BBodSchV are to be carried out.
