Rostocker Straßenbahn AG intends to renew the currently operated system of dynamic passenger information at selected stops. A total of 44 units are to be renewed between 2026 and 2029. In 2026, the renewal of a total of 14 DFI units is planned. The implementation of the measures is scheduled for the period from the end of the third quarter to the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2026. For 2027, the renewal of a further 15 displays is planned. In addition, optional services are planned, which include the renewal of 8 units in 2028 and 7 units in 2029. As part of the new procurement, both double-sided 4-line and double-sided 8-line units are to be installed at the stops. The new displays to be delivered must be fully integrable into the existing system environment and support operation via the Pacos protocol as well as via VDV 435. Since VDV 435 is currently being specified by the VDV, the conversion is to be carried out as soon as the standard has been approved. Until then, Pacos will be used. To ensure operational monitoring and remote diagnostics, the displays must be able to provide status and diagnostic data via the SNMP protocol.
