SBH | Schulbau Hamburg is tasked with planning, building, maintaining, and managing school properties in accordance with educational needs and economic principles, and leasing approximately 350 schools to the Authority for School and Vocational Training. The school properties include all land and buildings used for educational purposes by state and vocational schools. The total land area of all general and vocational state schools is approximately 9.1 million m², and the main usable area is approximately 3.1 million m². In this capacity, SBH has been commissioned to restructure the site of Gymnasium Ohmoor (Sachsenweg 74-76). The present procedure concerns the construction of a Hamburg classroom building. The Hamburg classroom building, developed by SBH | Schulbau Hamburg and GMH | Gebäudemanagement Hamburg, is intended to primarily promote the single or multi-track expansion of primary schools in Hamburg. The modular system of the Hamburg classroom building consists of a standardized universal basic structure. Individual uses tailored to the needs of children and teachers and the requirements of school operations are integrated into this structure. Corridors, staircases, sanitary facilities, and building services are integrated in a space-saving manner. The subject of this tender is exclusively the reduced performance phases for the construction of the Hamburg classroom building (HHKL). The overall rough plan for the development of the site is shown here only for reference. The construction of the Hamburg classroom building of type 2c enables the timely dismantling of the containers and will replace the long-term renovation-requiring double-H building in the long term. Two of the three workshops of the Hamburg classroom building – the exchange with the school – have already been accompanied by the architectural firm & Schnell GmbH.
