Description of the scope of services

Maintenance services for vehicles of a driverless transport system of the company EK Robotics are being tendered for a period of approximately 2 years. In 2024, the company EK Robotics introduced a new driverless transport system at the UKE. Since November 2024, a significant portion of the supply to the buildings connected to the FTS has been handled by the EK Robotics vehicles. Since the operation of the vehicles depends not only on the technical condition of the vehicles but also essentially on the control system, it may be that in the event of a control system failure, the entire system cannot be operated any further. If this is the case and operation cannot be resumed, the contracting authority will have no further interest in the tendered service. The contracting authority is currently preparing a new tender in connection with the FTS vehicles. Depending on the implementation times planned by the future contractor, both the number and the duration of the maintenance services to be provided within the framework of this contract may be reduced. This must be taken into account in the offer calculation. Therefore, it should be noted that the estimated quantities of the contracting authority for a period of approximately two years represent a non-binding estimate. This was forecast based on the experiences of previous years, taking into account the forthcoming circumstances.
