The existing framework agreements for passenger cars of the cantonal administration of the Canton of Bern are expiring and will be renewed with the present call for tenders. The subject of the call for tenders are the standard passenger cars listed in the vehicle catalogue in the vehicle classes relevant to the administration. The new framework agreements shall ensure that the entitled demand points can also procure passenger cars economically, according to demand and in compliance with the law in the future. The ongoing technological change in the vehicle fleet must be taken into account: Battery electric vehicles constitute the general rule. Vehicles with combustion engines will only be tendered where they are still necessary due to functional requirements or where corresponding exceptions are provided for.
