The Men's Counselling Service offers men who have committed or threatened physical, psychological or sexual violence against former or current partners a professionally sound perpetrator counselling. Furthermore, in family court proceedings following domestic violence, within the framework of the special guidelines (Munich Model), initially separate gender-specific and, if the process is positive, joint parental interviews are conducted in cooperation with the Interventionsstelle Landkreis München (ILM) to develop agreed arrangements for contact after separation or divorce. In addition, the Men's Counselling Service is responsible for the supervision of the professionals carrying out supervised contacts in the context of domestic violence, as well as the establishment and coordination of a pool of contact escorts. Furthermore, the Men's Counselling Service is a clearinghouse for life crises and various problem situations for all men. The consultations with the men take place in designated rooms of the Landratsamt München within the Munich city limits.
