Germany – Architectural and related services – Neubau Mosaikschule Marburg // hochbaulich-freiraumplanerischer Realisierungswettbewerb mit städtebaulichem Ideenteil

Universitätsstadt MarburgGermanyPublished on Aug 02, 2026
No deadline given

Description

The University City of Marburg intends to build a new Mosaikschule, a special needs school with a focus on intellectual development (GE) and a department for physical and motor development. The two school buildings currently housing the Mosaikschule are already clearly too small and do not meet the requirements in many respects. The University City of Marburg, as the school authority, has therefore decided to build a new school for sixteen classes with a gross floor area (BGF) of approximately 5,400 m2, which will be located in the school campus at Leopold-Lucas-Straße in Marburg. The new location in the school campus, with its various educational institutions, offers the opportunity to cooperate more closely with the surrounding schools in the sense of inclusion and to significantly strengthen the emerging school campus. Already in the early planning phase, ambitious targets for energy-efficient and sustainable construction are to be taken into account. This is the basis for a BNB certification to be awarded after the competition with the target of Silver. The aim of the competition is to develop alternative and optimised concepts that meet the different requirements - particularly in terms of design, functionality, user comfort, cost-effectiveness, resources and energy - equally.
