The contract involves the development, implementation and supply of up to 5 new diver clearance vessel bases (BBPD), and ensuring their operational readiness. As an indication, these vessels, with a hull made of steel or aluminium, will have a length of less than 60 m and a speed of around 12 knots. Each vessel will be able to deploy two light craft, a recompression chamber, a crane and mounts for machine guns. These vessels will be able to accommodate between thirty and forty personnel for missions lasting up to 10 days without resupply. The associated services cover, in particular, logistics studies, user and maintenance documentation, spare parts supply and training for personnel of the Marine nationale.
