Denmark – Non-scheduled passenger transport – Udbud af kontrakt vedr. morskørsel til dansk politi

The Danish Police is awarding a contract for the transport of the deceased. Divided into five (5) lots:

Lot 1: Transport of the deceased to the North Jutland, Central and West Jutland Police

Lot 2: Transport of the deceased to the East Jutland, Southeast Jutland, and South and South Jutland Police

Lot 3: Transport of the deceased to the Funen, Central and West Zealand and South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police

Lot 4: Transport of the deceased to the North Zealand, Copenhagen West and Copenhagen Police

Lot 5: Transport of the deceased to the Bornholm Police

The Danish Police has a need for the transport of deceased persons who have been declared dead, and where the death is covered by the notification obligation according to the Health Act § 179, and where the deceased are not lying in public view. The transport includes two types of transport, which must be carried out day and night, all year round:

1. General transport of the deceased

Transport of the deceased from the collection point to one of the police's more specific places. This can for example be a chapel, a hospital or a forensic institute, where a forensic examination is to be carried out.

2. Internal transport

The starting point for internal transport of the deceased is that these can be planned between the customer and the supplier. Internal transport becomes relevant in the following situations:

Where the deceased, prior to the confirmation of death, have been brought by ambulance to a hospital. This transport can take place between the hospital and the chapel

Where, at the forensic examination, it is assessed that an autopsy should be performed. This transport consists of two transports, respectively, to the forensic institute and return to the starting point.
