The subject of the present public procurement contract includes the supply and maintenance of machinery and equipment for improving the conductivity of irrigation hydro-melioration facilities. In preparing the Technical Specification, the nature of the activities for maintaining the hydro-technical integrity of hydro-melioration facilities has been taken into account, including: cleaning of silt from the bottom of the canal and the slopes, removal of waste outside the facility; cleaning of vegetation on the facility and in the surrounding area to prevent the development of a root system that could damage the facility's lining; carrying out earthworks, when maintaining the berms and slopes of the canal, drainage ditches; transporting vegetation and silt to the designated locations and other. The present public procurement contract is awarded in connection with the implementation of 35 (thirty-five) projects by "Irrigation Systems" EAD under the intervention "II.G.5 - investments in irrigation infrastructure" from the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas of the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2023-2027 (SPRZSR 2023-2027).
