The contract involves an integral architectural and design team assignment in accordance with DNR (architect as coordinating advisor) for the new construction of Brede School Pietersweer, from Schematic Design (SO) to Technical Design, resulting in a tender-ready bill of quantities, parts of the Construction-Ready Design, and aesthetic construction supervision during execution. The reason for the joint task of the municipality of Hardinxveld-Giessendam and the involved educational and childcare partners is to replace the outdated accommodation of OBS De Driemaster and CBS Ichthus and bring them together in one future-proof facility, supplemented with a nursery, daycare, and out-of-school care, so that education, care, and (where necessary) healthcare better align with each other and a continuous development line for children from 0 to 13 years is strengthened. For the realization of the new construction, a task-determining budget for the construction costs is set by the contracting authority at € 9,900,000 excluding VAT, with a price level of 1 March 2026. This construction cost budget serves as a framework and task-determining starting point for the integral design assignment: the design must be developed and elaborated within this budget, including the associated optimizations and trade-offs during SO, VO, DO, TO/bill of quantities. For the execution of the integral design assignment, a fixed design fee (lump sum) is used in the amount of € 675,000 excluding VAT. This fee also has a task-determining character.
