Belgium – Air pollution monitoring or measurement services – Structurele uitrol en exploitatie van emissiemonitoring van wegvoertuigen in Vlaanderen aan de hand van Remote Sensing

The Flemish Environmental Agency (VMM) plans to award a contract for the deployment and operation of a structural, area-wide remote sensing programme in Flanders. This will involve the placement of stationary sensors capable of accurately quantifying the emissions of various pollutants (NOx, particulate matter, hydrocarbons, ammonia, etc.) from vehicle exhausts. This programme must become a reliable source of emission data for road vehicles under real driving conditions. In addition to the emission measurements, the contractor must collect any additional information necessary for the correct processing of the data and further interpretation of the emission performance, and, if necessary, provide it to the contracting authority (for example: license plates, necessary data for VSP (vehicle specific power) calculation, measurement location, time of measurement, etc).
