Switzerland – Electrical signalling equipment for railways – ETCS Balisen

On the SBB Infrastructure network, the ETCS train control system is in use. A key component of the track equipment are Eurobalises. The aim of this tender is to select a strategic partner (Single Source) who ensures the long-term availability of Eurobalises and technical support throughout the entire product lifecycle for ETCS Levels 1 and 2. The contract includes a framework agreement for the supply of hardware and a service and support agreement. Hardware supply of Eurobalises for ETCS Levels 1 and 2, including fastening material, track connections, balise deactivation devices, as well as programming and testing equipment. The framework agreement will be concluded for a fixed period of ten years and can subsequently be extended by the contracting authority three times by five years each (maximum total duration 25 years). Engineering and Services provision of the necessary programming and testing applications as well as the execution of programming and testing services before commissioning and on-site. Service and Support conclusion of a service and support agreement for the entire product lifecycle, including software maintenance, software updates, obsolescence management, as well as guaranteed response and repair times.
