Germany – Architectural, engineering and planning services – Objektplanungsleistungen für das Gesamtprojekt Schulcampus Damgarten

Stadt Ribnitz-DamgartenGermanyPublished on Nov 05, 2026
No deadline given

Description

On an approximately 1.5 ha site north of the Stralsunder Chaussee (B105) in the Damgarten district, a school campus is to be created together with the location of the adjacent gymnasium to the north and west. This campus will include a new building for the Rudolf Harbig Regional School and the Löwenzahn Primary School, including a double sports hall and outdoor facilities. A pedagogical space and function book was developed in an intensive process with stakeholders from the schools and the involved school sponsors: Stadt Ribnitz-Damgarten (Regional School), Evangelische Schulstiftung (Primary School) and Landkreis Vorpommer-Rügen (Gymnasium). This process was led and accompanied by the company Lernlandschaft from Röckingen. To implement the resulting space programme for the two schools, a gross floor area of approximately 8,400 m² is required, which is to be predominantly realised as a new build. A smaller portion of this requirement (specialist rooms for the orientation stage) is planned as a renovation and refurbishment in the existing gymnasium (approximately 774 m² GFA) to sensibly incorporate the capacities available there, which are not necessarily required in the long term. Initial considerations include an extension to the building to accommodate specific specialist classrooms. Access to this additional floor should be realised via a barrier-free ramp, taking into account the local conditions. This separate access could eliminate the need for an additional lift. It is also noted that the contracting authority does not have sufficiently informative records of the building. Therefore, a digital inventory may be required. The extension to include a flexible specialist classroom wing, which both school types can use, ensures the implementation of the planned cluster model of the secondary school with separate rooms for each year group. To secure school sports, the construction of a double sports hall with corresponding outdoor sports facilities must be taken into account. The school grounds around the buildings are to be developed and designed according to the usage requirements in the sense of a common campus that opens up to the city. In addition to the topographical and technical challenges of the relatively uneven terrain, the traffic connection for all types of traffic must be functionally and technically solved, with access from the south via the B105 being planned. It must also be taken into account that the construction of a production kitchen is planned. To what extent this can be realised will be weighed up on the basis of future planning and the resulting construction costs. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2029. The property matters are currently still being clarified.
