Under the award procedure in accordance with the VgV, a suitable office for the HLS technical planning is being sought for the implementation of the expansion and renovation measures at the Längenfeldschule in Balingen. The primary school is part of the Längenfeld school centre in Balingen, which has shaped the surrounding settlement and the townscape since its construction in the mid-1960s. The primary school, consisting of three main buildings, was built in 1964 and expanded with a three-storey extension in 2000. To meet the new situation of full-day schools with full-day care on five weekdays, the building is to be expanded on the ground floor and the building sections A and B are to be converted. The additional rooms will be created in the courtyard below the elevated building, under a connecting bridge, and to the north adjacent to building A. A largely freely designable floor plan creates partitioned rooms of different qualities with light partition walls. For example, areas for building with interlocking bricks, a media library with a music area, an arrival and meeting point, and an office are created. A high proportion of daylight in the building is created by generously glazed post-and-beam facades. A skylight between the new building and the northern outer wall of the old building illuminates the building in depth. To also illuminate the currently rather dark existing corridor, large openings are to be cut into the existing wall. The spacious corridor thus gains in quality of stay and can be activated as an area for play and movement. Around it are the existing rooms to be renovated and a sanitary area. This is to be spatially reduced to improve the lighting situation. In the dry, easily accessible building section B to the north, the former main school kitchen with the adjacent lecture hall will be converted into a kitchen suitable for primary school children with a play café and a room for building with wood. Renovations will also take place in the neighbouring Längenfeld sports hall: The day care centre located there will be dissolved, and the rooms will be made available to full-day students as a gymnasium. The construction work will take place during ongoing operations. The noisy work must be organised so that it can take place during non-teaching times. The extension building is to meet the standard of the KfW Efficiency Building 40. In the area of the building to be renovated, the legal minimum requirements must be met. The current start of construction is planned for the end of 2026. Completion and settlement must be completed by the end of March/April 2029. If this deadline is not met and the funding is lost, claims for damages will be made against the cause(s) of the delay. The project planning is carried out by the Hochbauamt Balingen. External specialist offices will be commissioned for structural fire protection, building physics and geology. Renovation area: Gross floor area 587 m² Extension area: Gross floor area 288 m² Costs of new build/renovation: - KGR 300: 1,709,000 € net - KGR 400: 243,000 € net The design (LPH 3) will be made available to the applicants for the 2nd phase of the procedure. Bidding as a consortium is possible (the form 234 is to be completed accordingly). In the case of consortiums, the information and references apply in total to the consortium. The reference is also considered fulfilled if the service was provided as the responsible project manager in another office. In this case, a written confirmation from the other office or the client must be submitted (the form I.3 EU is to be completed).
