As a result of the flood event of 14/15 July 2021, the slope east of the locality of Müsch in the area of the Ahr riverbank was significantly eroded at the toe of the slope. Consequently, an existing landslide was reactivated. Since then, the slope has been in a continuous creeping or sliding movement and exhibits an unstable equilibrium. The affected slope area covers approximately 2 ha along the Ahr. Geotechnical investigations show that the stability is significantly influenced by water ingress into the landslide mass and the progressive erosive removal at the toe of the slope. Without stabilization measures, further deterioration of the situation is to be expected. The objective of the project is to develop an implementation-ready, approval-compliant stabilization concept for the sustainable stabilization of the slope. In particular, measures to reduce water ingress, to secure the toe of the slope, and possibly hydraulic adjustments are to be investigated and designed. The basis for the planning is the attached geotechnical report, which is to be referred to in the course of the processing. The planning services are to be provided interdisciplinary, taking into account geotechnical, hydraulic, nature conservation and permitting requirements.
