Within the scope of this project, the facade of Building 1 of a building complex constructed in the late 1960s is to be comprehensively renovated. The building consists of a two-storey plinth and a nine-storey high-rise built on top of it. So far, only part of the upper floors have been modernised; the rest of the building envelope is in its original, dilapidated condition. The windows of the lower floors are leaky and do not provide sufficient thermal insulation. The facade itself, consisting of pre-cast concrete elements without modern insulation, also no longer meets today's energy standards. The aim of the measure is a comprehensive modernisation with particular consideration of energy efficiency and sustainability. As part of the planning, the use of innovative elements such as building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and facade greening will also be examined, in order to improve the ecological quality of the building in the long term.
