Germany – Plasterboard works – ehem. Kraftwerk-Mitte in Dresden; KWM 26 Energiemuseum; VE 311 Trockenbau Bestandsdach

Planned is the energetic renovation and extension of the existing Energy Museum on the Kraftwerk Mitte site in Dresden. The renovation of the building serves to enhance the building as a museum. The new construction includes offices, a foyer with an event space, a sanitary facility, and a core for access. In front of the museum, a forecourt and an external staircase connecting the existing building and the new construction will be created. The buildings have the following dimensions:

• Existing building L x W: approx. 28.00 m x 18.85 m

• New building L x W: approx. 18.05 m x 17.50 m (27.00 m cantilever 3rd floor)

The following services are involved:

- Thermal insulation layer between rafters mineral wool 0.035 W/(mK) D 180 mm rafter spacing 80-90 cm, <3.6 kg/m²: approx. 550 m²

- Thermal insulation layer works on roof structure: approx. 160 m

- Airtightness layer moisture-variable, sd,min ≤ 0.3 m; sd,max ≥ 23 m: approx. 550 m²

- Airtightness layer works on various substrates (masonry, steel frame): approx. 350 m

- Cladding of the roof slope with plasterboard incl. 12.5 mm, including UK and securing the insulation: approx. 550 m²

- Carpentry work: eaves cornice made of wood for cladding the eaves connection: approx. 90 m

- Scaffolding: mobile work platforms, scaffolding above staircase

- Component-related airtightness measurement – „Blower-Door Test“ to prove the airtightness of the roof structure, incl. all necessary ancillary work for carrying out the measurement
