Ydre Municipality is today conducting a procurement. The municipality intends to procure waste bins for the management of waste from properties. The municipality has approximately 3 700 inhabitants. Approximately 60 % of the population lives in rural areas and 40 % in urban areas, with the largest urban area, Österbymo, having approximately 800 inhabitants. However, almost all holiday homes are located in rural areas, which significantly increases the proportion of rural residents. The number of annual subscriptions is approximately 1 900, the number of seasonal subscriptions is approximately 800, 70 % rural and 30 % urban.

The need is to purchase approximately 5 400 bins, the specific number will be communicated upon ordering. The estimated time for delivery is during the second quarter of 2027.
