Belgium – Artificial and natural lighting engineering services for buildings – INHUREN VAN VERLICHTING EN BIJKOMENDE DIENSTEN VOOR DE MUSEUMRUIMTES VAN STICHTING KANAL
Description
This contract is a services contract under Article 2, 21° of the Law of 17 June 2016 on Public Procurement. The contracting authority: Kanal is a museum of modern and contemporary art. Kanal has its own collection and has entered into a partnership with the Centre Pompidou, which will lend it a significant selection of its works. Kanal will also borrow and exhibit high-value artworks from national and international museums and collections. It is therefore essential that the lighting is optimal and meets the strict standards for conservation and lighting techniques. Contract object: the rental of museum lighting for the exhibition rooms of the KANAL Foundation, including spots for three-phase 240 V tracks and additional temporary three-phase lighting tracks, as well as complementary services such as installation, custom lighting installations for exhibitions and the development of lighting plans and the corresponding documentation. The objective of the museum lighting is to illuminate the artworks in a neutral way or, if necessary, to highlight them, in order to create optimal viewing conditions for the visitor, while respecting the conservation requirements of the works. The lighting will also contribute to creating a uniform scenographic atmosphere. The lighting will make the experience of the artworks, the exhibition and the building in which they are located pleasant and harmonious. The different typologies for temporary exhibitions require a wide range of options and extremely versatile and robust lighting equipment. Their long lifespan and high yield also contribute to Kanal's ecological objectives. Nota bene: an essential criterion for the three-phase tracks on which the contracting authority will base its evaluation is their compatibility with the projector models it already has and which are described in ANNEX D. The contracting authority must therefore be able to ensure the following points: - Compatibility with the existing lighting park; - Need for technical harmonisation within a coherent ecosystem; - Museum standards and conservation requirements requiring a customised solution. The contracting authority reserves the right to consider tenders from bidders that are not compatible with its own equipment as inadmissible. The same applies in reverse. The lighting fixtures offered must be compatible with the installed tracks. The contracting authority reserves the right to consider tenders from bidders that are not compatible with its own tracks as inadmissible.
