France – Rolling stock – Marché LUCIE : Acquisitions Locomotives de moyenne puissance

SNCF Réseau has an aging fleet that requires renewal through acquisition. As part of the "LUCIE" project (Locomotive Unifiée des Chantiers d'InfrastructurE), the medium-power locomotives and their supporting elements (maintenance documentation, spare parts) that are the subject of this acquisition contract are intended to replace the BB69000 and BB69400, which will reach the end of their useful life starting from 2032. These locomotives must have a minimum power of 750 kW at the wheel and reach a speed of 100km/h. They will be dedicated to network maintenance missions. In order to travel the entire French Railway System Network (excluding sections equipped exclusively with TVM), these locomotives must be equipped with a hybrid thermal and battery traction chain, comply with the G1 gauge and weigh a maximum of 80 tonnes and 20 tonnes per axle. The Contract is a single-supplier framework agreement with purchase orders under Article L21251 1° of the Public Procurement Code and in accordance with Articles R21621 to R216214 of the Public Procurement Code, covering the acquisition of locomotives, the corresponding documentation and the supply of spare parts with a minimum commitment of 50 locomotives and a maximum volume of 150 locomotives.
