The AG is a hospital of the second level of care with 535 beds, 20 day-case places, 18 specialist departments and four private departments. The cooling towers are currently located in the flat roof area of level 3 at courtyard 3. They are not part of the aforementioned construction measure ZOP, which is why the separate, publicly funded contingency measure was initiated. The existing installation area is no longer sufficient for the increasing cooling capacity requirements and for the supplementary and age-related replacement purchases, so a steel platform is to be erected on the flat inclined roof area (level 4) above the adjacent technical centre and the cooling towers are to be installed there. Against this background, the hospital intends to award the planning services required for the project to capable and expert (suitable) companies.
