Netherlands – Road transport services – Concessieopdracht pilot regionaal deelfietsensysteem

Metropoolregio Rotterdam- Den HaagNetherlandsPublished on May 25, 2026
No deadline given

Description

The MRDH will conclude one concession agreement with a basic coverage for the pilot, with a duration of three years, with which municipalities and the MRDH will gain experience with a publicly accessible regional bike-sharing system. The MRDH consciously chooses a pilot because it wants to test, together with municipalities and the concession holder, in what way a bike-sharing system can contribute to regional tasks and policy objectives. In addition, several topics have been defined in the preparation of the tender that the MRDH wants to test with sub-studies during the pilot. It is, among other things, about the possibilities to lower rates (for specific target groups), to use shared bikes as a measure to limit nuisance from works, to increase accessibility via user-friendly payment methods and to improve the connection to public transport so that the shared bike forms an attractive first and last mile solution within a chain trip. - The estimated value of the contract, excluding any additional work for studies and demonstration projects within the concession, is €1,500,000. - The total available budget for the contract, including studies and demonstration projects, is €2,700,000.
