The Technical Service Centre of Huittinen Town invites tenders for the area contracts for snowploughing and gritting services for the 2026-2027 winter season. As an option, the procurement includes snowploughing and gritting services for the 2027-2028 and 2028-2029 winter seasons. For the option, the contract prices will be adjusted according to the Road Maintenance Cost Index (2015=100). The comparison figure used is the index figure for October 2026, which is compared with the figure for March 2027. Changes of less than +2% and negative unit changes will not be taken into account in the contract prices. Price changes will be rounded to the nearest hundredth by the purchaser. Tenders are requested according to the map material enclosed as area contracts: 1, 5, 6, 9 and 10. In addition, hourly rates are requested separately for winter maintenance tasks ordered outside the contract area (e.g. snow removal and park maintenance). The hourly rates are not tied to the contract area and do not affect the comparison. The purchaser may also carry out hourly work with contractors who were not selected for the contract. The purchaser will make corrections to the area data during the contract period if the areas change. The purchaser will add new road and yard areas to the contract area as appropriate. The contractor must have sufficient equipment and personnel to carry out the contracts at the start of the work. Generally, a suitable snowploughing and gritting unit/t (depending on the equipment and area) and a driver/t and a deputy are considered sufficient equipment and personnel for an area contract. For contract area 1, the bidder must have at least two snowploughing units, one of which must be suitable for maintaining narrow pedestrian paths, for example. A deputy may be the same in several area contracts.
