Germany – Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services – Modernisierung Bildungszentrum Gartenbau Münster-Wolbeck - Baustatische Prüfung

The Education Centre for Horticulture and Agriculture, managed by the Chamber of Agriculture of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), has been located at the site in the district of Münster-Wolbeck, Münsterstr. 62-68, for approximately 100 years. The focus of the institution is the inter-company training in horticulture for the whole of NRW. Approximately 4,000 specialists are trained or further trained each year. The property consists of several building parts, which were constructed and extended at different times since the foundation. The individual objects from different years of construction are in a condition corresponding to their age. The current training hall is, according to the inventory analysis, in a deficient structural and technical condition, and renovation is not economically viable. Accordingly, (a) a replacement new building of the training centre with autonomous energy supply (incl. necessary house connections) as well as separate storage halls and the outdoor facilities is planned. Further part of the measure is (b) the modernisation of the energy supply (heat / electricity) of the property incl. new construction of an energy centre (and demolition of old heating centre) as well as (c) the demolition of the old training halls.
