The City of Castres is the owner of an equestrian centre, located at "La Borde Basse", 440 rue Marcel Burgun, 81100 Castres, currently managed by the Régie du centre équestre de Castres La Borde-Basse. For legal, economic and fiscal reasons, the municipality has wished to change the management mode of the equestrian centre. By a decision of 30 June 2026, the Municipal Council of Castres decided to delegate the public service of the equestrian centre by way of lease.
