Germany – Construction work for buildings relating to health – Umbau der Notfallaufnahme am Standort Mühlhausen des Hufeland Klinikums

Hufeland Klinikum GmbH intends to renovate and modernise the Central Emergency Department (ZNA) at the Mühlhausen clinic site. Built in 2000, it is to be adapted to the current medical and functional requirements of a modern and efficient emergency department. The aim of the construction measure is to reorganise the room structure to optimise treatment processes, as well as to renew the medical-technical infrastructure. This includes, among other things, creating targeted treatment paths from the patient's first contact, depending on the medical care needs and severity of injury, via the KV emergency doctor's practice and/or the emergency admission. The basis for the planning are the recommendations of the DIVI. The renovation area is located on the ground floor, including the ambulance entrance. The construction time is expected to be 16 months. All construction services are to be carried out during ongoing clinic operations. The unrestricted maintenance of hospital operations must be ensured at all times. The construction is to be carried out in sections in close coordination with the trades involved. Due to the intensive care unit located directly above the renovation area, special requirements must be taken into account for the scheduling, compliance with hygiene regulations, and the execution of enclosure and connection work. The construction area must be separated from the clinic operations by suitable protective measures. Some work will be carried out outside of regular working hours, particularly at night or on weekends. Due to the aforementioned special features, it must be taken into account that there will be several construction site arrivals and departures.
