By the end of April 2027, the current contract for the rental of bridge operating personnel for the municipality of Nieuwegein will expire. To ensure that the necessary rental of bridge operating personnel continues to be met in a lawful and efficient manner for the coming years, the contract will be re-tendered. The contract concerns the deployment of qualified bridge operating personnel for the operation of bridges within the operating area of the municipality, currently consisting of 14 bridges. For this, the municipality wishes to enter into a Framework Agreement with one (1) contractor. The value of the contract is estimated at 9,000 hours per year and 36,000 hours over four (4) years. The estimated annual uptake is therefore €420,000 (excl. VAT). The total estimated value over the entire duration of the contract (4 years) is therefore €1,680,000 (excl. VAT). The estimated value is based on the expected rental requirements, historical uptake and costs, and current hourly rates in the market. If we exceed 200% above the total contract value estimated above, a new tender will be set up. The maximum uptake under the Framework Agreement is therefore €3,360,000 (excl. VAT).
